About

Experimental and creative art in historical surroundings

Kunstbanken Hedmark Kunstsenter exhibits high-quality Norwegian national and international art in premises full of character. The art centre is located in the old Norges Bank building in Hamar. In its eight galleries there are temporary exhibitions with focus on applied and visual art. Art experiences are offered to a range of different audiences through travelling exhibitions.

Kunstaperitiffen, held every Thursday at 12:00 (except in periods between exhibitions), is a 15-minute presentation of one or more relevant exhibitions. It is free of charge, and explores the subject matter from different perspectives.

The premises are also available for meetings and special occasions. Kunstbanken offers bespoke events tailored to your requirements, incl. refreshments and guided tour of the exhibition.

Festivals and exciting art expressions

Kunstbanken brings exciting expressions of art thorough its biannual performance festival, and acts as a professional arts consultant to companies and individuals. The overall aim is to showcase a diverse range of artistic expressions, with main focus on experimental and creative art.
