About

Norway's most beautiful beach promenade?

The beach promenade is some of the most beautiful Hamar has to offer. It stretches from Espern in the south to Jessnes in Ringsaker, and is 8 km long. The Skibladner quay in town is a great starting point. Another popular place to start is Domkirkeodden.

The promenade is ideal for walking, pushing prams, running, and cycling. Stunning views of Mjøsa, Norway's largest lake, can be enjoyed along the entire stretch. The promenade is also a beautiful section of the Pilgrim Paths.

Along the way are the new Mjøsfronten food and activity area, Koigen, the diving tower, Domkirkeodden, and the Norwegian Railway Museum. Explore beautiful beaches, diverse natural environments, and exciting architecture along the route. Outermost on Domkirkeodden is Geiteryggen, the tip of the headland.

Along the way are benches, boulders, and quays ideal for a rest – all in a stunningly beautiful light.

Enjoy your walk!
