There are also shops in the Hamar region – both in and outside of the shopping centres, and both in and outside of the town centres. The charming centre of Hamar is shaped as a fan, which means that you get to enjoy the views of Mjøsa between each block. 

Matkvartalet, Hamar's new food quarter, along with the wide and exciting Strandgata and the colourful town parks, are the icing on the cake. Innlandet’s largest shopping centre, CC Hamar, sits on historic ice-skating ground, which is why it is shaped as an ice-skating arena. Glide in for some quality shopping.

Fredheim gårdsutsalg, which is Norway’s best farm shop (and it really is), is located in Stange Vestbygd – or Tuscany of the North, if you like. And Løten is, for many, just as famous for its candles as it is for its aquavit. Løiten Lys, with its 3 000 sq. m shop floor packed with handmade candles, can be found at Løiten Brænderi.
